Will One Become Seven and a New Apartment Building in McLean

GirlBuilt has applied for a historic preservation review for a concept to convert an Adam’s Morgan townhouse at 1918 Belmont Road NW into housing that will potentially hold up to seven units. The proposal would add massing to the rear of the existing three-story-plus-basement structure.

Depending on the number of approved units, the plans do have slight differences. If seven residences are built square feet will start at 388 while if five units are built square footage will begin at 429. If only four units are approved, each will be at least 914 square feet.

In McLean, a new 354-unit luxury apartment community, named Avalon Park Crest is in the works. As part of the larger Park Crest development it sits with other luxury condominiums, apartments and a Harris Teeter grocery store. The site is within walking distance of the Tysons Galleria mall, Tysons Corner Center mall and the Metro’s Silver Line extension.

The complex features studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments that vary in size between 555 – 1,179 square feet. It also features amenities such as a saline pool, a fitness center, courtyard with grilling area and underground parking.
